Bondi to Coogee Beach Walk

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

It was a hot and sweaty day in Sydney so what better way to spend it than on a refreshing walk along the coast. The Bondi to Coogee Beach Walk is rated number 2 in The Top Things to Do in Sydney on Tripadvisor. After scrolling through numerous travellers photos I knew it was something I wanted to do while in the Bondi region. Starting of in Bondi just beside the famous Bondi Icebergs, the trail takes you to Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee beaches.

The famous Bondi Beach is very beautiful yes, but no where near as big as I assumed it would be from watching Bondi Rescue. It was still pretty cool being there and seeing it for myself, but having done the Bondi to Coogee Beach Walk it really showed me what the rest of the Coast had to offer.

Bronte Beach is the next stop on the walk. It has such a chilled out vibe and it was my first time seeing proper beach volleyball in Australia. If your looking for a lot of fun in the sun, then Bronte is perfect for a quick dip, sunbathing and then a game of volleyball with your pals.

Clovelly Beach was next up on the walk and it happened to be my favourite along the route. It felt very secluded, away from the hustle and bustle of beachgoers. If your not a huge fan of the sea like myself but your boyfriend or friend is then Clovelly is great. They have the chance to still go in the sea while you can chill out in the swimming pool just beside. It had a lovely atmosphere and I would definitely go back to Clovelly during the Summer when it's really beach weather.

The final stop was Coogee Beach. Not going to lie, but by the time we reached Coogee we were hot and bothered and ready to go home but when we arrived there that was the complete opposite of what others were thinking. There was a huge beach party. Friends together enjoying the sun with a few drinks and a bbq on the beach, can't get more Aussie than that? Coogee had a youthful vibe and the beach was pretty beautiful too.

Things you will need

Water - Lots of it.

Good and comfortable pair of shoes. The walk features a lot of stairs and hills.

Bring your beach towel and swimming costume on a hot day. There's a lot of beautiful beaches and little swimming coves along the walk. Take a little dip in each of them and continue on your walk after drying yourself in the beautiful sunshine.

Your mobile phone or a camera. You do not want to miss out on the most amazing photo opportunities on this walk.
