March Favourites; Beauty!

G'DAY! Isn't it crazy how time flies? I'm already a month into my Australian adventures and haven't had a chance to blog at all. You spend so much time outside here it's nearly impossible to find the time or should I say WANT to find the time to stay indoors. I mean who wouldn't want to spend their time outside when they've beaches upon beaches to choose from.

Last month has without a doubt been the most exciting month of this year and possibly my life so far. Marvellous March will be a roundup of all the exciting things I have done in March as well as my fashion, beauty and lifestyle favourites.

To kick start Marvellous March I wanted to start with my beauty favourites of last month!

From left to right:
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Glastonberry: £23 Charlotte Tilbury
Revolution Baked Highlighter: £3 Superdrug

B. Blusher and Contour Brush: £8.99 Superdrug

Anastasia Contour Kit: £39 Cult Beauty

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation: £32.50 Debenhams

Revolution Primer: £5 Superdrug

It's been a mixture of high end meets high street this month. Just before Christmas I discovered the brand Revolution and since then I can't begin to tell you how many times I've been complimented on how dewy, fresh and young my skin looks and it's all down to the Revolution Baked Highlighter. It's got a slight hint of glitter to it which some may love and some may hate, personally I think it's just the perfect amount of dewiness and glitter. It's safe to say half of my closest friends and family now have this highlighter as part of their everyday makeup routine. There's also different shades for different skin tones, so you won't be stuck for choice. It's also a great steal at only £3!!!

I'm a huge lover of lipsticks, always have and always will be. I can be quite fussy as I don't like anything to matte or drying which is why I found it so unusual as to why I loved Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution formula. At £23 it's fair to say it's quite pricey and I have started only wearing this lipstick for special occasions or nights out, it just gives you that really luxurious feel and look. For staying power it's fabulous. I recently wore it to my leaving party before I headed off on my travels. After many shapes being thrown on the dance floor and copious amounts of sweat and drinks it still stayed put. In my opinion that's a winner!

The Anastasia Contour Kit is also great and well worth the money. I am not at all a contouring expert but this kit makes it so easy. Be careful though, it is extremely pigmented so a little sweep over the cheekbones once or twice will do.

I'm also really surprised I've never spoke about Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation on this blog before. It's my all time favourite foundation and has been for a few years now. I've tried and tested many high end and high street foundations and none of them have matched up to this game changer! I might actually do a separate blog post on this foundation because I feel it deserves it!

So whether you're on a budget or wanting to splurge a little... there's definitely amazing products out there for everyone.
